Senior Product Marketer


Wallaroo Labs is working on a huge idea, and this is a phenomenal opportunity for a person who enjoys the challenges and rewards of an early-stage startup. Wallaroo Labs helps turn algorithms into businesses, at the speed and scale of data. Using our open-source framework, developers can build and scale ultrafast data applications as easily as writing a Python script. Wallaroo lets them work in modern languages like Python and Go, and then deploy and scale with no code changes or operational headaches on any infrastructure.


We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing person that also has technical sales skills. You will work independently as well as support and work with our CEO on marketing and sales efforts to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand fundamental customer use-cases and technical objections and resolve technical blockers. This is a highly demanding, and highly creative assignment with multi-disciplinary scope; you will need to be able to pivot based on pressing needs.


Responsibilities

  • Understand markets, competition and customer/user requirements.
  • Identify market opportunities, build business cases, and help define product vision and strategy for Wallaroo and key verticals.
  • Identify, develop and/or manage the creation of a variety of content types – written, videos, product demos, presentations, etc. – as needed to fuel business and marketing success.
  • Prospect for clients and prepare and deliver presentations and demos that explain Wallaroo to prospective customers.
  • Speak at conferences, executive briefings, and webcasts on Wallaroo and related topics.


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Five years of professional experience in a technology or cloud company. 
  • Experience building sales collateral, creative assets, and other marketing content.
  • Experience presenting and delivering technical pitches.
  • History of being a strong evangelist for enterprise software, open-source frameworks, or cloud services
  • Experience with cloud, SaaS, PaaS, big data, or serverless a big plus
